The path to the shelter

In the footsteps of our ancestors

A visit the Museum also offers the opportunity to take the interpretive walking trail to the prehistoric shelter itself, to see the archaeological site and seat of discovery.

In the heart of a nature preserve, the 1.5 km woodland path is punctuated with informative stops. The walk is a symbolic invitation to reflect on our ascent from our origins. You’ll enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the setting, and on your return you may enjoy discovering the charming medieval streets of our village, surrounded by majestic views of the Pyrenees.
